- Read a biography about a deceased person (cannot be in the music industry) - Directions went home today. Project is due on or before February 12th.
- Practice Math facts, division and multiplication, orally. Practice sheet went home today. They are not to write in the answers, but these are sample problems that they will be given for our Math Facts Race on Thursday, February 5th (the date the children wrote down in their assignment planners is incorrect). It will be a competition with two students at a time; the student who answers correctly first, goes to the next classmate and the other student sits down. If both are wrong, both sit down; if neither student can give the answer within 3 seconds, both sit down and two others stand up; if both are correct, they get another problem; if the first answer is wrong the other students gets 3 seconds to say the correct answer. The final student will be declared the classroom winner. That winner will go on to compete in the school Math Fact Race on Tuesday, February 10th at 8:30 in the 3rd Floor Lunchroom.
- Did not finish Mid-Chapter math quiz today. We will finish on Monday. The students were reminded to bring home their Math book so they could review Lessons 1-3.
- Southeast region state location only quiz will be sometime next week, possibly Wednesday - not before.
